I have been seeing many many more posts on COMPOSING.
Hopefully, this will clear most, if not all doubts.
Please post questions HERE on THIS thread.
Firstly, what is composition? No, not the kind
you write in school for a bunch of fat, lazy
teachers to pass time, but what you do to give
your already godly weapons extra power. NOTE:
This is not intended to slam teachers in any
way. =P
Composing, in CO, is the art of giving your item
/ weapon a funny number at the end. Ever see
GreatBacksword(+2) and wonder what it means?
I'm here to tell you.
The number denotes the additional level that
has been composed into the item in question.
For example, if you see UnitClub(+4), it means
that the person has spent enough time to upgrade
his club with 4 additional compositional levels,
which would grant him increased accuracy and
damage.
Are we clear on exactly what composing is yet?
Good. In case you are wondering exactly what
giving your item additional levels will do, check here.
It gives a full list of what upgrading your items
will do. Now, are we excited yet? Do I hear a
HELL YEA? (*background* HELL YEA!) OK! Wanna
know how to do this leet thing? I'm just about
to tell you, so don't crap in your pants.
No doubt in the course of your hunting or shopping
in Market, you would have seen various normal
items sold for exorbitant prices, or normal items
with funny purple texting. These are what we
shall call Aux Items (AI). They are basically
normal +1 items that we shall use for upgrading.
And now, you have that Elite/Super item that
you will want to upgrade. This is called the
Main Item (MI).
First off, to upgrade your MI to +x, you will
have to have 2 AIs of additional levels +(x-1).
For example, to upgrade your Elite +2 Earring
to Elite +3, you will need 2 +2 Earrings of any
grade. To upgrade +0(normal) to +1, you will
need 2 +1 items. Its a simple formula.
Yes, I hear the question. How are you gonna get
2 +2 Earrings in the example above. Well, simple
way would be to simply get 2 normal +1 Earrings
and upgrade them both to normal +2 Earrings.
Then use these normal +2 to upgrade your MI.
Are we clear? Its that simple! Now you wonder
why there are so many questions of the boards.
Now, a few things to make clear. There are several
classes of items. For example, you cannot upgrade
your BackSword with Tao Hats and etc. As a general
rule, you can only upgrade with items of that
particular type. Earrings with Earrings, BackSwords
with BackSwords and so on and so forth. The only
exception to this rule is this. All 1h and 2h
weapons are clustered under the same category.
Yes, you CAN upgrade your Club with a Hammer
and a Hook. Yes, you CAN upgrade your PoleAxe
with your Glaive and Spear. This weapons category
does NOT include BackSwords and Bows, however.
Don't cry.
Another thing you have to know is that when upgrading
from +5 to +6, in addition to 2 +5 items, you
will need 2 gems for weapons or 1 gem for armor.
Any gem of any quality will do. Settle for Kylin.
Lastly, L120 items can ONLY BE COMPOSED WITH
L120 items. Don't ask why, this is just the case.
As I'm not L120 as yet, I don't know if you can
cross the boundary. I would appreciate any information
you can give ^^
Well, thats it for my COMPOSING in-depth FAQ.
And to close, I'll provide you lazy bums out
there a list of how many items you will need
to make your items the desired +# level you want.
+0 > +1 : 2
+1 > +2 : 2
+2 > +3 : 6
+3 > +4 : 18
+4 > +5 : 54
+5 > +6 : 162
+6 > +7 : 486
+7 > +8 : 1458
+8 > +9 : 4374
+9 > +10 : You would be dead by now.
I was made aware that the previous posted number
of +1s needed to upgrade to the next level was
WRONG. I apologise to any and all who have gotten
their hopes up of making a +9 easily based on
my figures. A DB to each of you. -Crosses Fingers
=P- Once again, my most sincere apologies. Now,
the correct set of figures have been provided
by Monk4Life. Although they have not been checked
by me, his formula does seem correct. This formula
has been provided below. Thanks to Monk4Life
for the correction.
Items Needed = [3^(X-2)] x 2
Where X is the level you want it to go to. E.G.
+2 = 3^(2-2) x 2
= 3^0 x 2
= 1 x 2
= 2 Items needed.
This formula does not apply to making +0 to +1.
2 +1 Items are needed for that.

Intro
Hello again!
Finally I got time to update my FAQ. I will
try to be a bit more explicative and give
some hints to newbies.
Please don't PM me at forums, reply on the
thread and I will reply as soon as possible
or just make a thread at Newcomer section,
I am usually there.
* Now I decided to fix some grammar errors
and put some images :D
* For who want to know how to escape from MeteorZone
without use bugs, just skip to 4.0.
Thanks for all and see you in my next FAQ.
necromancer
1) Where is the meteorzone?!
Your server should have a GC near metzone,
if don't, follow these steps:* Go to Desert
City
* Use conductress to go to Mystic Castle
* Walk to Top Left and start walk down. You
will see a Teleporter
* Walk to Top Right and talk with the NPC.
* Walk to Top Left
* Walk to Top Left
* Walk to Top Left
* Walk to Top Left
* Walk to Top Left
* You Are at MeteorZone
2) Monsters
At meteorzone we have 2 kinds of monsters.
TreasureBird (Normal)

TreasureBird (King)

After you find the king, zap it but...oops!
This stupid king have too many HP, give a STRONGER
magic attack and have a HUGE magic defense
and a GOOD physic defense.
3) Good levels to metzone
| Class Name |
Kill |
Tank |
Kill and Tank |
| Trojan |
100 |
40+ (Robot) |
112+ |
| Warrior |
90 |
112 (Earings) |
112+ |
| Fire Tao |
82 |
100 |
112+ |
| Water Tao |
100 |
54+ (DivineHare) |
112+ |
| Archer |
105 |
112 |
115+ |
4) Guards
JEEZ! NO! NEVER, I said NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
use the Guards to kill the birds. Cause if
the bird was guard-killed will take AGES
to spawn again. Play clean! If you can't,
dont go. Hopefully someday guards will be
removed and everybody will be more happy
:)
5) Exiting metzone
I will teach how to escape from metzone by
the normal way. You will need to cross waterdevils
that don't do big damage at first islands
but deal a ULTRA-BIG damage at last ones.
Then you only will be able to do that if
you are a archer or water tao I think. Just
go to PINK points and enter at the following
portals. Good luck :D

(main area of metzone)

(after main area you will be there. EvilGhosts
and NightDevils)

After you enter at NightDevils portal you
will enter at these islands. No, thats not
bird island, but Ishowed the correct way. Pay
attention at last island, the magic damage
is enough to kill a good DivineHare. At last
island, I recommend you to walk by the edges.
When you reach at last island you need to talk
with the NPC and he will teleport you to more
islands, at these new islands (these are the
same as before, but now we have long-physical
damage monsters). Then, better you use DivineHare
or Fly to escape (these Water Devils are stronger
enough to kill a good lvl 120 trojan in 3 hits).
When you do the whole way, you will see the
BoatMan. Just talk with him and you will end
at new desert.
6) Metzone mine cave
Its a good mine and many gems types can be
found there, I usually play there :D
7) Hints
* Go teammed with a water tao.
* Setup > Show Names X (mark on).
* Don't let people lure to guard and don't
lure too.
8) Some Answers and Replies
8.1) I cant see a boss bird!
Maybe someone killed'em'all or lures to guard,
if someone just killed, wait about 5/10 mins
then other bird should spawn, if someone
lures, better you play some TicTacToe :P
and wait 45-60mins
8.2) Im a lvl 20 archer and can't kill
the bird.. I will lure to guards!
If you are a level 20 you arent supposed to
be here, if you lure to guards other players
will get mad with you and you could be pked.
8.3) But im broke, level 20 and need money.
Nothing comes free, go hunt in other place.
Conclusions:
* Don't go to metzone before a good level.
* Don't lure to guards.

1.- Meteors:
They are semi-rare items dropped commonly by monsters,
they are used to upgrade the level of your quality
items (quality items as in refined, unique, elite,
super). It is useful if you have a refined Sword,
yes, but when you find a better quality, use that
one. For example, you have a level 10 sword, you
are level 15, you go to TwinCity's ArtisanWind,
give him a meteor and your item, and he will try
to upgrade it. With items less than level 60, the
upgrade rate is 99/100, it lowers from 60+ (it
is recommended to use Market's Artisan for upgrading
level after that high level). Also, you can pay
a meteor to a NPC which I forgot his name (he is
right next to ArtisanWind in TwinCity) which will
change the color of your armor/helmet. Note: You
may get a socket in level upgrading in TwinCity
(verrrryyyy rare) OR you may get a socket in Market
upgrading (UBER SUPER MEGA RARE). Note, elite and
super items has a higher chance of failing in TwinCity.
I recommend putting Supers in Market, always.
2.- Dragonballs:
They are very rare items dropped (almost never) by
monsters, or bought oficially from the site. What do
they do? They do two things, one is socket items (explained
later on), and the other is to upgrade the Quality,
as said before, refined, unique, elite and super. It
goes in that same order. If you have, for example,
a refined sword (level 10, again), and you want to
make it a unique, you get a dragonball(s) and you head
either to TwinCity's ArtisanWind or the same Market's
Artisan which upgrades level too. (It is recommended
to always do at market, even though he charges more,
TwinCity's ArtisanWind fails ALOT in quality upgrading),
you give the artisan you are going to use the required
dbs, and (if youre doing it in twincity I wish you
luck!) you now have a Unique sword. Note: also, you
can get a socket by upgrading quality in TwinCity or
Market (super uber mega rare, as before ).
3.- Sockets:
Sockets are used in your weapons or armors (or helmets,
necklace, etc.) which allows you to insert a gem to
boost something (depending on the gem). Socketed weapons
are super common, and also can be gained by paying
dragonballs (1 for first socket, might fail, and 5
for second socket, never fails, in BirdIsland's Artisan).
In the contrary, armors and other equipments (such
as bags, bracelets, necklaces, rings, boots, shields,
etc.) is very rare. The only way to gain them is by
trying your luck by upgrading quality or level in TwinCity
or Market. (Also, reborn characters get a socketed
armor/gown/coat [depending on their class] on level
100 promotion).
4.- Gems:
Gems are rare stones found by mining, you can insert
them in a socket in your weapon or other equipment.
Each gem does different things, and gems are divided
in 3 qualities, normal, refined and super. (of course
normal is less rare than super... and cheaper). Some
examples of gems are, PheonixGem [gives more magic
attack], DragonGem [gives more physical attack], KylinGem
[gives more durability], MoonGem [boosts magic experience],
RainbowGem [boosts leveling experience].
5.- Composing (+x):
Composing weapons is making a weapon (+1), (+2), etc.
[The limit is (+9)]. Each + gives more stats to your
weapon/other equipment, for example, a (+2) armor gives
more defense and/or magic defense. (The extra stats
are highlighted in purple in the description of the
item). To make a (+1) you must have the following things:
(lets take for example, a sword, again)
- The sword you want to compose [basic item]
- Two (+1) regular or quality you dont care for losing
[minor items]
After having that, goto Market and talk to the artisan
that composes (I forget their names... sorry! ),
put your Basic Item in the big slot, then put your
Minor Items in the two other slots. Press OK, and voila!
Same process goes to (+2), (+3) and over are a bit
more complex. Maximum I've ever seen is a (+4)...
They are found by monster drops or bought by other
players, to notice that it is a (+1), first of all
it has "(+1)" in the end of its name, and purple
stats in the end of the description! |
