In addition to my guide on Mets/Dbs, I'd like
to add this, to help the rest of the newbs
who have questions.
Composing
FAQ
Q: What is composing?
A: Composing is the art of making an Item +1,
+2, +3, etc and So On until +9.
Q: That sounds.. ermm.. Cool. What does it
do?
A: For each level you compose an item, it gains
extra stats.
For example:
A club gains damage and accuracy
A ring gains damage
A tao robe gains Def and Mdef
A Coronet Gains Defense
A Necklace gains defense and health.
Etc, Etc.
Q: I found a +1 weapon, but it gave only like
5 additional damage. Why would I waste 2 mil
for 5 damage?
A: The higher the quality, level and composition
of an item, the more it gives. For example
at higher levels +1 could around 100+ damage
in stats, which translates to nearly 300 in
the game.
Q: Is there any downside?
A: Well, technically no. But the obvious is
that it costs a decent sum of money, and also
it (to me, not confirmed) makes it a little
harder to upgrade.
But, with the time saved by the improvements,
you could go to metzone and get mets.
Levels of Composition
Composition starts at +1, and goes all the
way up to +9.
Here I'll start with basic knowledge. To +
an Item, you MUST have 2 +# Items of the same
number as the base item. For example, If I
had a +3, and I wanted to make it +4, I need
2 +3s along with the main +3 item to make it
+3.
Remember that the item has to be of the same
class, like, 1 hand weapon, necklace, dex ring,
attack ring, coronet, etcetera. Level 120 armour
and headpieces are incompatible with equipment
that has requirements under those of the +1
item.
Also note that an item cannot be upgraded by
an item of a higher quality:
Example: If You're upgrading your refined 2
socket club with a normal +1 1 hander and a
unique +1 1 hander the system will not accept
the unique one. The items used to upgrade the
main item must be lower in quality than the
main item.
The main item must always go into the big box,
and the two items being USED to upgrade WILL
disappear, and are placed in the 2 smaller
boxes.
You can make a +1 normal +2, and etcetera.
Thats how you get the items being used to upgrading.
+1: 2 +1s of the same class and the item you
wish to make +1
+2: 2 +1s of the same class and a +1 you wish
to make +2
This is where it gets expensive.
+3: 2 +2s of the same class and a +2 you wish
to make +3
+4: 2 +3s of the same class and a +3 you wish
to make +4.
+5: 2 +4s of the same class and a +4 you wish
to make +5
This is where it gets complicated:
+6: 2 +5s of the same class and a +5 you wish
to make +6. 2 Gems Also
Nobody has ever made it this far (Besides FeiChangDao
with a +6 BS.. GO FEI!!), but after this, It
goes by gems.
After this, you use gems in addition to +#
items to upgrade the main item.
You need additional 2 gems to upgrade a weapon,
and 1 gem additional to upgrade armour. That's
basically farther than it's likely for anyone
to ever get, but whatever.. I hope you found
this part useful.
GEMS
FAQ
Q: What is a gem?
A: You can find gems while mining. They add
additional bonuses to your equipment/stats.
Q: Why is a gem different from ore?
A: Currently, ores can only be used for selling
and quests. Gems are used to make your equipment
and stats better.
Q: How do I get a gem?
A: You must be level 15 to mine a gem. First,
buy a pickaxe from the storekeeper in twin
city. Then, go to mine cave from the conductress,
and into the blue warp. Right click on the
ground. Bear in mind different mines have different
gems and requirements. This is just to start
out.
Q: Will I find gems if I mine a lot?
A: If you're lucky you can find 10 gems in
a minute, if you're unlucky you could find
0 in a year.
Q: What different types of gems are there?
A: There are quite a few different types of
gems. And Qualities. I'll go through it later
in the faq.
Q: Do gems sell for a lot of money?
A; Most gems sell for a handsome sum of cash.
Judge wisely before you use them.
Types of Gems
There are 3 qualities to all gems. Normal,
Refined or Super.
Please Note, all prices are for Dragon Server

SOCKETS
FAQ
Q: What is a socket?
A: A socket is a part of a piece of equipment
used for slotting gems. An item can have 2
sockets max, 0 sockets minimum.
Q: How can I get a socket?
A: Luckily in Twin City/Market Upgrading with
dbs, or ArtisanOu in Bird Island for 1 Dbs
First Socket (failable) and 5 Dbs second socket
(must have first socket already, guaranteed).
ArtisanOu is WEAPON ONLY.
Q: How do I put a gem in a socket?
A: There is an artisan by the guards near the
east exit of phoenix castle, near the warehouse.
He sockets, and removes gems.
That basically wraps it up. Any questions should
be PMed to me, or sent to 13lack-Omen on game.
PS: Any mods who wish to sticky this can go
right ahead.

DRAGONBALLS
FAQ
Q: What is a Dragonball?
A: Dragonballs, or DB for short are items used to
upgrade the quality of your items. While the level
stays the same, the item gets better stats.
Q: Where can I get a Dragonball?
A: Dragonballs can be found from monsters (I've found
3, 1 while training, 1 while hunting, and 1 in metzone
), purchased, bought with Virtue Points (which are
gained from plvling after you pass level 70 - you
must plvl people 20 levels lower to get this bonus
however I would NOT recommend buying dbs with virtue,
because for the VP it takes to buy 1 db you can get
35 mets, and 20 mets is a db around, so you can almost
get 2 dbs for the price of one in VP), bought at
Mystic Merchant (an NPC that appears at certain times
in the day and sells dragonballs for 6 million (Wouldn't
recommend this either, you can buy them in the market
from me or others for 2 million or less each)), or
bought with real money (It's about 4 Dollars American
for 1, around 16 Dollars american for 5... Just..
try not to overspend )
Q: How rare are Dragonball Drops?
A: Quite rare, I'm nearly level 105 now And I've
found 3 only although luckier people and people who
hunt may find more
Q: What else can you do with dragonballs besides
selling and upgrading?
A: There is an artisan in bird city that can socket
your weapons. You can put gems in sockets, which
are gained from mining that give advantages such
as durability, attack power, etc. 1 db for the first
socket (failable) and 5 dbs for the second (after
the first socket has been made, guaranteed).
Q: What should I use dragonballs on.
A: NEVER, EVER use a dragonball on an item if you
want just a refined. Buy it in market for MUCH cheaper,
and Dragonball it then to maybe make it unique..
Which is still a waste, I suggest only using dragonballs
on items going to elite from normal and super from
anything.
Q: Is there a guaranteed success rate for dragonballs?
A:Firstly, there is no FIRM success rate. Normally,
the chance to get the next quality will be the reciprocal
for that rate (thanks Dark) for example to get refined
is 2 dbs in market, therefore 2/1. So the reciprocal
is 1/2, making the chance 50%. To unique is 3, so
the reciprocal would make 33.3* Percent. Elite is
4, 1/4 Making 25%. Super is 6, Making 1/6 which is
an approximate 16 Percent Chance.
However, I have used over 40-50 DBS While playing
conquer (never purchased one) and must say that often,
using dbs is much cheapter than buying good equipment,
especially at low level.
Q: Is it harder to super than it is to refine?
A: Much harder
Q: Does Composition (+1, +2, +3) affect chances of
DBing?
A: Nobody is sure, although I think not, others think
so.
FACT}: You can get a socket in your
item if you're lucky while upgrading with DragonBalls.
If this is a piece of armour or a non-weapon, it
will become very valuable.. as a weapon, the price
will boost a little. Market decreases the chance
of a socket.. but there still is a chance.. the best
chance to get a socket while upgrading is at tc..
however the chance is something like 1/200, maybe
1/500 even.
POINTS
*Failure rate at lower levels is smaller than at
lower levels than at higher. This is all upgrades,
mets and dbs.
*Buying dbs.. I can't recommend anything here. If
you want to buy go ahead, but many people call me
one of the "luckier people" in this game, as I'm
quite wealthy.
*One of the best way to get dbs is hunting. As an
archer, Hunt mobs you can 1 hit scatter. Eventually
you might find dbs or +1s, elites, some rare uniques,
maybe even super! You can sell those for money or
trade for dbs!
*Normally, ALWAYS when I upgrade, Normal-Refined
Takes 1 db, Refined- Unique takes 1/2, Unique-Elite
fails 1 or 2, Super takes 3 always for me.
Now, Since I've supered many items, if I remember
correctly I'll give a recount of My Club and My Armour
(both going to super).
Armour:
1 Socket, Not that it matters.
Normal - Refined, 1 Db. Refined - Unique, 1 db. Unique-Elite,
Failed One, Next one worked. Elite - Super, 2 Failed,
Next Worked.
So the armour at level 57 took 7 dbs to super from
normal, and may I add is +1.
My Club:
Level 15 2 socket Normal
Normal-Refined, 1 db. Refined-Unique, Failed One
Went on Next. Unique - Elite, Failed 1 Went on the
next, Elite - SUper Failed 3 went on the next.
So this super level 15 2 socket club took 9 dbs.
Don't take this as a guarantee or anything though
because it's not. Don't hold me responsible if you
fail 15 dbs going to refined or 50 dbs going to super(which
is extremely unlikely and more along the lines of
impossible). This is just what happened to me and
most people I know.
METEORS
FAQ
Q: What are mets?
A:Meteors, mets for short, are used to upgrade the
level of your item rather than the quality, for example
if your bow was refined level 5, using a met would
make it the next level, refined level 10. If your
armour was a level 70 trojan armour, then a successful
met would make it level 87.
Q: Do mets fail?
A: Much more than dbs.
Q: How much is a met?
A: Met prices range from the lucky 1k (only from
newbs) - about 100k. Average price is 80k, Low price
is 60k, High Price is 95/100k.
Q: Can monsters drop mets?
A: Yes they can. More often than dbs, you get many
Meteors from monsters.
Q: Can I purchase meteors from the site?
A: No, this used to be a feature though. Not anymore.
Q: At high levels with good equipment, will I need
many mets?
A: Yes. If an Item is super +2 for example, it will
take many more mets than a refined +1, or a unique,
etc. Everything, Composition (+1,+2,+3 etc), Quality
(Super Refined Unique etc...) and the level of the
item all effect met rates. That's the downside to
good equipment, although they own and do great damage,
they are sometimes hard to upgrade with mets. As
far as I know sockets don't affect met chances.
Q: Why should I met my equipment?
A: To get a new level, new look and
better stats on your weapons.. Don't upgrade something
that will go to a level you can't use though.
Q: What else can mets be used for?
A: Mets can be used to get a met tear, which is used
to divorce, mets can be used for so many things that
I don't remember them all... some quests need mets,
some people trade items for mets only, etc..
Fact: You can get a socket in your
item if you're lucky while upgrading with meteors.
1/500 even.
Points
*Failure rate is higher depending on level, quality
and composition.
*The best way to get mets is hunting at metzone,
however at some levels/classes/times this isn't an
option. Simply hunt monsters, you will find many
mets if you kill many monsters.
*I use Twin City to upgrade most of my items. Sometimes,
I get my item in 1-5 mets, whereas it costs 40 or
so at market. I'm very lucky with mets and dbs.
*Sometimes I use market though, when My Items don't
want to upgrade, like my ring.
Well that basically wraps up my Faq, If any mod or
